Security was tightened in Imphal on Monday in the wake of a blast near the official residence of Manipur Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh, official sources said on Monday.
Sources said police and other security personnel were deployed at vulnerable places and frisking of passers-by has been intensified to detect the movement of armed ultras.
Sources said extra forces have been deployed around the chief minister's residence. They said Sunday's bomb explosion around 8.30 pm near the CM 's official residence was the second such incident in the
