Unidentified miscreants shot dead seven persons at Mayai Lambi in Imphal West under Mayang Imphal police station on Monday night.
Police said in Imphal on Tuesday that the victims' hands were found tied, adding that their identities were yet to be ascertained.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem and identification.
An investigation was launched into the matter, however, no progress had been made so far on who were responsible for the killings and the motive of the murders.
