West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Wednesday during which the issues of financial package for the state and United Progresseive Alliance's Presidential candidate are likely to come up for discussion.
Trinamool Congress sources said the prime minister has invited Banerjee for a meeting today, though the time has not been fixed yet.
The prime minister's invitation to Banerjee comes on a day when she is meeting Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday. The issue of Presidential candidate is expected to figure during the meeting.
Banerjee, who is the chief of United Progressive Alliance's key ally Trinamool Congress, has been demanding a financial package for the state for quite some time now.
