The long-standing boundary dispute with Karnataka will also figure at the meeting.
"I know we have very little time and we have to do many things in a short span to achieve growth," Shinde had said after taking over as chief minister.
The meeting with MPs from the state is routine. It has been taking place whenever the previous chief minister has also desired. The point of interest now is that Shinde has called for it so soon after taking over the state's reins.
"The MPs will also be apprised of different schemes from which Maharashtra can benefit if they intervene at the Central level with different ministries," a state government official said.
The chief minister's office has issued a booklet that will be presented to all the MPs and MLAs. It lists 34 pending decisions that are important for the state. There are sub-sections in the book that clearly mention region-wise problems.
"This has been done so that the MPs and MLAs work on a schedule for the betterment of the people," the official said.
The rehabilitation of slum-dwellers in Mumbai, an international cargo airport for Nagpur, and push for additional funds for Maharashtra will also be discussed.
"Shinde has taken a personal interest in the meeting," the official said, "and requested all the MPs, including those from the Rajya Sabha, to attend."
