Clinton in Cuddalore

Former US President Bill Clinton with school children affected by the tsunami at Thalanguda in Cuddalore, some 168 kms south of Chennai, December 1.

Clinton visited the tsunami-affected region in his capacity of the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Tsunami Recovery, and reviewed recovery efforts.

The tsunami which hit the Indian coastline December 26, 2004, killed over 200,000 people including over 15,000 in Tamil Nadu,
