Securing a lake for the PM

With the chilling militant attack on a Congress meeting and two grenade attacks in the heart of Srinagar ahead of Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to the Valley, the Jammu and Kashmir police are taking no chances.

The police have began patrolling on Dal Lake, which is close to the conference centre over-looking the lake.

Dr Singh is scheduled to arrive at Srinagar on 24 May for the two-day roundtable conference with political leaders.
