March 10, 2006 16:03 IST

Queen Rania Al-Abdullah of Jordan, considered one of the world's modern royals, is in India to participate as a speaker at a weekly magazine's conclave.

During her visit, the charming royal (left) visited an alternative learning centre operated by the NGO Ritinjali, which provides bridging programmes for out-of-school children in New Delhi.

Queen Rania is a member of the UNICEF Global Leadership Initiative for Children. She has endeavoured to juggle her royal responsibilities with uplifting the socio-economic standards of her people through education, innovation and information technology.

While in Delhi, she also met Congress President Sonia Gandhi (top right).
