First Look: Kuwait's 1st female minister

Kuwait recently got its first female minister.

Maasuma al-Mubarak, seen here giving the thumbs up during a parliament session, on Tuesday joined other cabinet members for the first time since her appointment as a minister of planning.

The leading women's rights activist and professor of international relations at Kuwait University, was appointed minister of planning and administrative development-- creating history in the country.
