The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday retained power in Gujarat for a record seventh straight term pulverising the opposition to secure the biggest majority ever in the state.
However, BJP's 'Modi magic' didn't work in Himachal Pradesh where the Congress made a comeback continuing the hill state's tradition of nearly four decades of voting out the incumbent party.
