At least 18 people, including women and children, were killed and six others injured when a bus struck a landmine in Pakistan's restive Mohmand tribal region on Friday.
The incident occurred in Lakaro sub-division, a remote region of Mohmand Agency, where security forces are conducting operations against militants.
The bus was carrying a group of people, who were on their way to attend a wedding, TV news channels reported. Four women were among the six persons injured.
The mine was planted by militants to target security forces, reports said. Local residents rushed the injured to a hospital in Mohmand Agency's headquarters.
