The car of RJD president Lalu Yadav’s son-in-law Vinit Yadav was snatched by some unidentified persons at gunpoint near Sikandarpur metro station on the busy M G road.
The white colour Toyota Fortuner was being driven by Vinit’s driver Hari Prakash when four to five assailants intercepted it at gunpoint in broad daylight, a police official said.
“After stopping the vehicle the assailants dragged the driver out of the car and fled with it,” Assistant Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon Police, Hawa Singh said.
The RJD supremo’s son-in-law, who is a resident of Delhi, was not in the car at the time of the incident, Singh said.
Police have registered a case under the Arms Act and launched a hunt for the culprits, the ACP said.
