Rajya Sabha was adjourned for half-an-hour on Tuesday after members of the ruling United Progressive Alliance combine and the opposition virtually came to blows on the issue of framing charges against Railway Minister Lalu Prasad in the 1996 fodder scam case.
On Monday, a Central Bureau of Investigation court in Ranchi framed charges against Lalu, accused in five of the 39 cases related to the scam. These cases have been transferred to Jharkhand.
