JUST IN: The Karnataka high court on Friday decided to place the plea of the 11 rebel BJP MLAs before a third judge after it failed to arrive at a unanimous decision on assembly Speaker's action.
The two-judge bench had divergent views in respect to the order disqualifying the MLAs.
While the chief justice upheld the order of the Speaker, Justice N Kumar found the Speaker's order to be wrong.
The case of the five disqualified Independent MLAs is yet to be taken up.
More details are awaited.
