Kerala Chief Minister and Communist Party of India-Marxist veteran V S Achuthanandan does not have any movable or immovable assets, according to the affidavit filed by him as part of his election nomination papers for April 13 assembly polls in the state.
Achuthanandan submitted that he had cash in hand of Rs 3,000 and Rs 80,295 as bank deposits.
The total income of the 87-year-old leader, who entered the fray from Malampuzha segment on Thursday, was shown as Rs 3,43,994 as per the income tax returns filed for 2009-10.
