The swearing-in ceremony would be held at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad on June 2 at 8.15 am, a Raj Bhavan press communique said.
TRS has secured majority in the recent assembly elections by bagging 63 out of the 119 seats in Telangana and Rao has been elected as leader of the TRS legislature party.

June 2 is the 'Appointed Day' when Telangana and (new) Andhra Pradesh would come into existence as separate states.
Narasimhan was given additional charge of the proposed state of Telangana.
A Rashtrapati Bhavan communique said on the President has appointed Narasimhan to discharge the functions of the Governor of Telangana, in addition to his present duties as Andhra Pradesh governor until a permanent arrangement is made.
