The judicial crisis in Pakistan and elections to state assemblies in India had affected peace talks between the two countries, Pakistan Foreign Minister Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri said.
He also expressed disappointment over the delay in resolution of Siachen and Sir Creek issues and said there was possibility of 'some progress' on the suggestions made by Pakistan.
'There was this judicial crisis in Pakistan that began in March and then there were two-three elections in India, including the one in Uttar Pradesh, that took the attention of the governments away,' Kasuri told Karan Thapar on India Tonight programme on CNBC-TV18.
However, he said the back channel diplomacy on the peace process has continued despite Pakistan's domestic problems but could have made more progress had there been 'greater focus.'
Asked about talks on Siachen, Kasuri said he was disappointed over the delay in resolution of the issue.
