Jammu and Kashmir government on Thursday banned telecast, transmission and re-transmission of five satellite channels in the state with immediate effect.
These five 'obscene channels' are against public morality, decency and taste and their viewing is likely to adversely affect the public morality, a notification issued by Department of Information and Public Relations said on Thursday.
