A Canadian government-appointed probe into the 'Kanishka' trial on Wednesday recommended a public inquiry into the 1985 bombing of the Air-India aircraft in which 329 people were killed.

"There needs to be further inquiry," said former Premier of Ontario Province Bob Rae, the independent investigator of the trial on the bombing of Air-India flight 182, after releasing his review report.

Air-India's Boeing 747 'Kanishka' blew up and crashed off the coast of Ireland on June 23, 1985, killing all 329 passengers and crew.
