Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati on Wednesday performed 'Dhanur Masya' puja of Lord Chandramouliwarar in Kalavai mutt, around 40 km from Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu.
The puja was performed between 0400 IST and 0500 IST, mutt sources said.
The pontiff, released on bail in the Sankararaman murder case on Tuesday, was in a cheerful mood, they said, adding he performed three 'Kala' pujas in the night.
