Farmers camping at various protests sites near the borders with Delhi erupted in celebration on Friday morning after Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi's announcement that the three contentious farm laws will be repealed.
Hundreds of farmers offered sweets to each other and waved the national flag to celebrate the 'half victory' of their year-long protest.
