Srinagar: Militants kill 2 BSF troopers

Militants gunned down two paramilitary Border Security Force troopers outside the Srinagar's SMHS hospital late on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say that militants opened fire at a posse of BSF critically injuring 2 troopers.

"The injured troopers were immediately taken to the SMHS hospital where both succumbed to their injuries," said a senior police officer.

Police and paramilitary forces have rushed to the spot and have mounted searches in the area. No group has accepted responsibility for the attack.

Earlier, 2 paramilitary CRPF troopers were gunned down by militants at Dalgate on Tuesday morning.
