Slight quake hits Kashmir Valley

A medium-intensity earthquake shook the Kashmir valley on Sunday evening, leading to panic among residents.

The tremor, which measured 4.8 on the Richter Scale, had its epicenter in the Hindukush region near Afghanistan, with latitude of 37 degree north and longitude 71.2 degree east.

Many people ran out of their homes in fear when the earth shook.
