Elections to civic bodies in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on December 15, Minister for Tourism and Urban Development Ghulam Hassan Mir said on Monday.
Measures are being taken to implement the local self-government concept after the elections, he said.
The coalition government plans to develop the historic town of Anantnag, he said, adding that the implementation of the plan will be accelerated.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone for a Rs 10 crore commercial complex in Anantnag town.
