Unidentified gunmen on Wednesday shot dead Pir Hisamuddin, political secretary to separatist leader Syed Ali Shah Geelani, at his house in Bemina locality in Srinagar, official sources said.
The gunmen forced their way into Hisamuddin's house at around 1130 IST and pumped bullets into him before fleeing from the scene, the sources said.
Hisamuddin was a lawyer and hailed from Sopore town of Baramulla district.
