22 injured in militant blasts in Kashmir

Twenty-two persons, including four security personnel, were wounded in two separate explosions in Srinagar and Awantipore on Saturday.

The police said an improvised explosive device blew up near Victory Crossing at Khanyar in downtown Srinagar, injuring nine persons, including three policemen. The injured, including three schoolchildren, were shifted to hospital.

In Awantipore in Pulwama district, militants hurled a hand grenade on a passing security force vehicle, but missed the target. The grenade exploded on the road injuring 12 civilians. 

Police said militants also fired two rifle grenades towards a bunker of the Border Security Force, injuring a trooper.
