JK: 2 CRPF officers among 9 hurt in grenade blasts

At least nine persons including two paramilitary troopers were injured in two powerful hand grenade explosions in south Kashmir's Pulwama district on Tuesday.

A senior police officer said that terrorists targetted a patrol party of the Central Reserve Police Force in Pulwama on Tuesday afternoon by hurling a hand grenade at a passing CRPF vehicle. "The explosion wounding seven persons, including two CRPF personnel. The injured were taken to hospital for treatment," the officer added.

 The busy market area in Pulwama town was surrounded by the police, as they searched for the terrorists.

In another powerful grenade blast, two employees of the state forest department were wounded in Kakpora town in Pulwama district on Tuesday evening.

No group has yet claimed responsibility for the two grenade explosions.
