Two terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Shopian district of south Kashmir in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, a police spokesman said.
The encounter broke out when security forces confronted the terrorists in the district, the spokesman said.
The identity and group affiliation of the slain terrorists could not be ascertained as the search operation in the area was continuing when reports last came in, he said.
