Failure hasn't deterred Bobby Jindal one bit. Despite an unsuccessful bid for governorship, Jindal says he will now run for Congress.
Fellow Republican David Vitter holds the US House of Representatives seat that Jindal is eyeing. Vitter is running for Senate hoping to succeed Democrat Senator John Breaux.
Vitter endorsed Jindal's candidature during a press conference on Thursday. After the endorsement Jindal told his cheering supporters: "When God closes one door, he opens another. I understand there's a job opening here."

If Jindal wins, he would be only the second Indian-American to serve in Congress. Dalip Singh Saund was a California congressman from 1957 to 1963.
