Elections for the 81-member Jharkhand assembly will be held in two phases; the fist phase on November 13 and the second on November 20, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 23.
The ruling Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, in alliance with the Congress, Rashtriya Janata Dal and the Left parties, is engaged in electoral combat with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led alliance in the state.
