Governor of Jharkhand MOH Farook on Thursday met Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and briefed him about the state administration after the imposition of President Rule.
The governor is keen to hold panchayat elections in the state before stipulated period of September this year.
Farook is also meeting Congress chief Sonia Gandhi and Union Home Minister P Chidambaram before returning to Ranchi on Friday.
