The Election Commission is all set to hold elections to the Jharkhand Assembly in mid-December with the state governor K Shankarnarayan recommending the dissolution of the assembly.

Union Home Ministry officials held a meeting with the deputy election commissioner at Nirvachan sadan in Delhi on Monday.

Jharkhand's assembly has been in a state of suspended animation since January, when former Chief Minister Shibu Soren failed in his attempt to become a member of the Assembly.
