Bollywoood actor Shayan Munshi, an eyewitness to the Jessica Lal murder, today appeared before the high court in New Delhi in compliance with its orders summoning all 32 witnesses who had turned hostile in the case.

Shayan alongwith his wife Piya and lawyer reached the court at around 10:15 am. He then deposed before the Bench of Justice R S Sodhi and Justice P K Bhasin.

While sentencing prime accused Manu Sharma to life imprisonment for killing ramp model Jessica in April 1999, the court had on December 20 summoned all the 32 witnesses who had turned hostile in the case.

The Delhi Police claims that they have served notices to all the witnesses except three -- Karan Rajput, Parikit Sagar and Rupinder Singh Gill -- who had died during the course of the trial.

Those who were summoned include Andaleeb Sehgal, facing probe in the Iraqi oil-for-food scam, Shiv Dass Yadav, an electrician at Tamarind Court Cafe, ballistic expert Prem Sagar Minocha and Shakar Mukhia, an employee at Manu Sharma's farmhouse at Sambhalkha in Haryana.

Some persons, who knew the co-accused Vikas Yadav and Amardeep Singh Gill and were made witnesses in the case, were also served notices to explain for changing their stand before the trial court.

Among them are Abhijit Ghosal, Ravinder Singh Gill and Kulwinder Singh, reportedly known to another accused Yograj Singh, father of cricketer Yuvraj Singh, who recanted from their statement.
