As the security forces challenged the holed up militants, they opened fire, triggering a gunfight in which two militants were killed so far.

“One JCO and a cop were also killed during the encounter while four policemen and a woman were injured. They were evacuated to hospital for treatment,” the officer said. Police sources said a head constable of the special operations group was missing in the ongoing operation.
