According the income tax department (www.incometaxindia.gov.in), government of India, PAN forms can now be obtained from anywhere.
Form 49 A can now be downloaded or photocopied or obtained from the local printer.
For downloading the PAN form, visit www.incometaxindia.gov.in, www.utilsl.co.in or https://tin.nsdl.com.
Recommended paper size: A4 on 70 gsm copier paper.
PAN forms will also be available at IT PAN service centres or TIN facilities in 145 cities. TIN FCs are front offices for Income Tax services set up and managed by the National Security Depository Limited.
Completed PAN applications can now be deposited at TIN FCs in addition to IT PAN service centres.
