A suspected ISI agent was arrested in Kanpur and some secret documents and several mobile SIM cards were recovered from him, police sources said today.
Acting on a tip-off, sleuths of Anti-Terrorist Squad held Imtiaz Ali alias Mahesh Kumar, a resident of Jhansi district from the city late last night, the sources said.
Ali had been allegedly collecting information about sensitive areas of the city and sending across the same to Pakistan, they said.
The ATS has taken the accused to Lucknow for further interrogation.
