The government on Wednesday ruled out the possibility of sending Indian personnel to Iraq to help in the conduct of elections in the troubled nation.

"No Indian person is being sent to Iraq. They [Iraq] can send their people here for training," External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh told the Lok Sabha while replying to a special discussion on foreign policy.

Samajwadi Party leader Mohan Singh had sought a clarification on the matter.
