Differences among National Democratic Alliance partners on India's stand vis-a-vis Iran's nuclear programme came to the fore with Janata Dal (United) declaring that it would "definitely support" the no confidence motion proposed by the Samajwadi Party on the issue.

"JD(U) supports every action to dislodge the UPA (United Progresive Alliance) government," party spokesman Shambhu Srivastwa told reporters in New Delhi.

In sharp contrast to Bharatiya Janata Party's stand, he wronged India's vote on the Iran issue and said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's statement in Parliament on the matter was "jugglery of words".

He said that the statement had "no content and did not have any reason or logic. To say the least, it is hypocritical."

BJP on the other hand does not have any major difference with the government on the issue and the saffron party's only objection was that it appeared that the Centre's decisions were taken under US pressure.
