13 injured in 'ULFA' triggered blast in Assam

At least 13 persons were injured, including two policemen, when an explosion triggered by suspected militants belonging to the anti-talks faction of United Liberation Front of Assam rocked Doom Dooma township of eastern Assam's Tinsukia district on Thursday evening.

Police informed that the blast occurred in front of a drug store in the town at around 6.40 pm.

Condition of three of the injured was stated to be serious.

The police suspected hands of anti-talks faction of the ULFA behind the blast as the outfit a strong base in the district bordering Arunachal Pradesh

Police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search.
