Another infiltration bid foiled near Keran, 2 militants killed

The army foiled another infiltration bid near north Kashmir's Keran sector on Thursday night killing two militants.

A defence spokesperson said alert troops detected a group of infiltrators trying to crossover to this side in the Gujjartar region near Keran.

The infiltrators were challenged upon after which they opened fire. This led to a gunfight in which two militants were killed. Arms and ammunition were recovered from them, the spokesperson said.

Pak troops violate ceasefire again

The Pakistani troops violated ceasefire yet again in the Krishna Ghati sector of the Jammu region on Thursday.

A defence spokesperson said the Pakistani troops opened fire from small arms and automatic weapons.

"Our troops retaliated with similar calibre weapons. No damage on our side," said the defence spokesperson
