Indian Council for Cultural Relations president Karan Singh on Friday condemned the death of tabla player Nawab in the terror attack that targeted Indians in Afghan capital Kabul.
Singh, also a senior Congress leader, expressed his deep anguish at the death of Nawab, who was part of a three- member cultural troupe, which visited various cities of Afghanistan.
"The ICCR is deeply saddened to learn of this tragic incident and mourns this loss. Council is in touch with the family members of the deceased and has conveyed its deep condolences to them on the unfortunate incident," Singh said in a statement in New Delhi.
At least nine Indians were killed in the attack at guest houses in centrazl Kabul. This is the third attack targeting Indians in Afghanistan in the last 20 months.
