Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, on Monday said that the Indian government should shun force to deal with the Maoists. Talking to mediapersons in Bhubaneswar, he said: "Indian government should shun force to deal with the Maoists. We must find solution to problems through dialogue and mutual respect...through the non-violent way."

He also said that Maoists should leave the path of violence. The spiritual leader, who arrived in Bhubaneswar, on a four-day visit, would be spending three-days at Chandragiri Tibetan settlement in Gajapati district.

He will inaugurate a five-storey monastery named Padma Sambhav Mahavira.  He is also scheduled to give a one-day teaching on the Four Empowerments of Guru Pema Thoe Treng Tsel at the Phuntsoling Tibetan Settlement.
