IA plane makes emergency landing at Delhi

An Indian Airlines plane from Chennai carrying 100 passengers and six crew members made an emergency landing at the Palam airport Tuesday night after a hydraulic failure.

The plane, IC-539, which took off from Chennai at 6:15 pm, landed at the Palam airport at 8:30 pm safely, an airport spokesman said.

"There was a hydraulic failure in the aircraft and a precautionary landing was conducted," the spokesman told UNI.

The airport authorities put fire tenders and ambulances on a standby as the aircraft madeĀ its landing.
