ISI courier linked to Hyderabad blasts
July 17, 2007 18:31 IST

Inter Services Intelligence courier Mohammed Abdul Kareem Quadri, who was arrested by sleuths of the Special Investigation Cell on July 15 in Hyderabad, is believed to be an aide of the mastermind of Mecca Masjid bomb blasts on May 18.

According to police sources in Hyderabad, Quadri, who runs a watch repair shop, was in constant touch with Shahed alias Bilal, the alleged mastermind behind the masjid blasts.

He was working as a 'courier' for the most wanted terrorist since 2002. Both of them used to speak on mobile phone also.

The SIC police, probing the masjid blasts, suspect that Quadri was providing logistics support to some fundamentalists in the city.

He is also the relative of Mohammed Abdul Sattar, an alleged police informer, who was arrested recently on the Indo-Bangladesh border.
