Hyderabad blasts: Blame-game over intel inputs begins

The debate over intelligence regarding Thursday's twin blasts in Hyderabad has already commenced.

While the Intelligence Bureau says intelligence was provided, the Hyderabad police say the intelligence was not specific in nature.

IB sources tell Rediff.com at least four alerts were sent in the last couple of weeks to Hyderabad.

"The alerts were general in nature and it is the duty of the police to step up the vigil in the wake of such alerts," sources in the Hyderabad police said. There was nothing specific which suggested a bomb blast, they insist.
