How has the Mumbai train strike hit you? Tell us

May 04, 2010 13:31 IST

Hundreds of motormen of Western and Central Railway in Mumbai went on a hunger strike on Monday evening, demanding higher pay and better working conditions.

The government has arrested 170 striking motormen and invoked the Essential Services Maintenance Act on them.

But this brings little comfort to the lakhs of commuters who have been left stranded by the strike. The Mumbai local trains, considered the city's lifeline, ferry approximately 65 lakh people everyday.

Are you one of the harrowed Mumbaikars hit by the train strike? Are you stranded at the station, in your office or at the bus stop somewhere? Has the train strike stopped you from reaching your office/home destination?
