Mourning the death of Minister of State for Education Ghulam Nabi Lone, Jammu and Kashmir Government declared a holiday in the state on Tuesday.
Lone was killed in a militant attack in the high-security Tulsibagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday morning. However, 'the holiday will not be applicable in quake-hit areas where relief operations are going on', an official spokesman said.
