A Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist was killed and a policeman wounded in a gunbattle between security forces and ultras in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday.
The exchange of fire was still on as another militant was believed to be trapped in the area, the police said.
A Hizbul terrorist, whose name was not yet known, was killed and police constable Kaka Ram wounded in the gunfight at Mahore, 180 km from Jammu, they said.
The injured policeman was airlifted to Jammu city for treatment.
In another gunbattle at Kakote in Doda district on Friday night, police head constable Abdul Rashid was injured.
