Five south Bengal districts including Kolkata were lashed by gale and heavy rains on Tuesday evening which disrupted train services in Eastern Railway's Sealdah main line section.
Three spectators sustained minor injuries when a makeshift venue operation centre collapsed following heavy rains and thunderstorms at the J-Block of Eden Gardens, the venue of the IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Deccan Chargers, police sources said.
Overhead wire snapped at Simurali railway station during the rains and thunderstorm disrupting train services in the
Sealdah main line of Eastern Railway, they said.
