Though Indian and American authorities have refused to give details regarding the interrogation of arrested Lashkar-e-Tayiba operative David Headley, sources in investigating agencies have revealed that the probe team was taken aback by the fluency with which the Pakistani American spoke Hindi.
Headley's fluency in Hindi indicates his preparedness for the terror strike in Mumbai, say sources. His latest interrogation by the Indian agencies have confirmed the fact that he had undergone training in terror camps based in Pakistan, like the ten terrorists who attacked Mumbai on November 26, 2008.
His knowledge of Hindi indicated that he had spent hours learning the language and mastering the accent.
The Intelligence Bureau is trying to ascertain whether LeT operative Abu Jundal, who played a key role in training the ten terrorists, also instructed Headley.
Home ministry sources say that the fifth dossier about the Mumbai terror strike that was handed over to Pakistani authorities included portions of Headley's interrogation. India is planning to send another dossier to Pakistan with more details of the interrogation and the attack probe.
Sources say that the dossier will specifically mention how Headley talked about the inseparable connection between the Inter Services Intelligence and the LeT.
