The Madras high court on Wednesday ordered issue of notice to Muthulakshmi, wife of slain forest brigand Veerappan, and directed her to provide details of the scenes in a film, which showed her husband in bad taste.

Justice R S Ramanathan directed Muthulakshmi to give details about the scenes and records on which the scenes were picturised.

The film director and others had challenged a sessions court order restraining them from in any manner to exhibit, release and expose the movie and also from publishing the interview in TV channels.

Muthulakshmi had moved the sessions court to restrain Akshaya Creations, Bangalore, director A M R Ramesh, Bengaluru and Gemini Industries and Imaging Private Limited, Chennai from exhibiting, releasing and exposing the film 'Vana Udham' and 'Attahasa' in Kannada.

She contended that the films were produced without her consent and the film depicted her husband in bad taste and it same would affect her cases pending in various courts.

Counsel for the director and others submitted that the film was only a work of fiction based on the material available in the public domain of Veerappan and his lifestyle and necessary certificates have been obtained under the provisions of the Cinematograph Act.

Veerappan was shot dead by Tamil Nadu Special Task Force in an encounter in October 2004.
